Une nuit, alors qu'il se trouve à "l'étage de la terreur", il s'aperçoit qu'une porte de placard n'a pas été fermée correctement. Pour vérifier que tout est en place, il l'ouvre, permettant sans le vouloir à Bouh, une petite fille, de pénétrer dans son monde.".
